Both are quite popular brands and deliver in terms of value - but they are definitely distinct from one another and offer different benefits.

Blaze vs Lynx Grills Quick Comparison

From a high level, the fundamental difference between Lynx and Blaze is that Lynx is more of a luxury brand - they're made in the USA with the best of the best materials and incredible design features.

Blaze falls more in the mid to high-end category of outdoor kitchen brands.  Their products are well made and have some great features, but they are manufactured overseas lack some of the luxury features present on Lynx grills.

Lynx Brand Overview

Lynx is all about matching unparalleled style with an amazing cooking efficiency thanks to the premium materials, skilled craftsmanship and high standards that makes each and every product feel like a luxury.

They have a wide range of products suitable for creating an amazing outdoor social experience.  They are most well known for their grills, but they have a wide selection of unique products to create a truly custom, fully integrated outdoor kitchen.

We mentioned that Lynx grills are loaded with features - each of their grills come with a rotisserie kit, rear burner, lit burner knobs, and interior grill lights to name a few features.

Another thing that sets Lynx grills apart is their burners - you can choose between ceramic burners or Trident infrared burners, or a combination of each for your grill.

With that in mind, let's take a closer look at some of Lynx's flagship products.

Lynx 36-Inch Built-In Professional Gas Grill With Rotisserie

Lynx 36-Inch Built-In Professional Gas Grill With Rotisserie

The base burner configuration on Lynx grills is 2 ceramic burners and 1 infrared burner on the right side - which combine to total 73,000 BTUs of heating power.

Lynx grills all are hand welded, double walled, and feature a beautiful, modern, sleek look.

The grill is highly efficient with that heat and can reach scorching temperatures, if desired.  The trident infrared burner in particular is capable of reaching up to 1,000ºF when set to high for a scorching sear.

Within the lid itself, you also get dual halogen grill surface lights making for easy cooking even when the sun has gone down as well as an incredible 935 square inches of actual coking space allowing you to cook for a large group of people, perfect for those big BBQ gatherings where you have a lot of mouths to feed.

With a dual-position position rotisserie internally powered by a heavy duty three speed motor, while this grill might be on the more expensive side it does come with some incredible features that you just can’t find anywhere else, especially in terms of space and the burners which are both safe and incredibly efficient at what they do.

Pros

  • Choice of ceramic, infrared, or combination of burners
  • Lid and temperature gauge for easy heat adjustment
  • Incredible 935 square inches cooking surface
  • Dual-position rotisserie
  • LED lit knobs and interior grill lights
  • Highly efficient 73,000 BTUs heating power

Cons

  • High price point

Lynx Asado 30-Inch Built-In Professional Flat Top Gas Grill

Lynx Asado 30-Inch Built-In Professional Flat Top Gas Grill

Lynx's iteration of the built-in flat top grill is perfect to sizzle up your favorite foods easily, especially with its unique Hot Surface Ignition system that lights the burners safely and quickly.

The surface is also excellent and incredibly easy to rest food on top of being a multilayer of aluminum sandwiched between two sheets of stainless steel making it perform at a high level, but also incredibly durable when using those higher temperatures for prolonged periods.

With 495 square inches of cooking surface and blue lit control knobs to make for easier cooking in the dark, this Lynx Asado grill is missing a lot of features such as a heat zone separator, interior lights and a lid to keep the heat insulated and easy to manage and adjust.

Pros

  • Incredibly appealing design
  • Solid 35,000 BTUs maximum heat
  • Hot Surface Ignition heats up burners instantly
  • Safe grilling surface with two sheets of stainless steel
  • 495 square inch cooking surface

Cons

  • No Lynx branded metal lid, although a cover is available

Lynx 42-Inch Professional Gas Grill On Cart With Rotisserie

While the price for this grill can be intimidating, you do get an incredible amount of cooking space at 1,200 square inches as well as incredibly spacious storage under the grill itself thanks to a premium cart with drawers and an access door.

It’s also on wheels which makes it very portable despite being so heavy and is overall cheaper than if you bought a different grill and then the classic door drawer combination separately.

You will still get many of the same excellent features as the Lynx 36-inch Pro including the ceramic burners, 73,000 BTUs total and a heat stabilizing system along with a sturdy stainless steel material and an insulated lid with a thermometer for easy adjustment.

So it therefore comes down mostly to how much you feel you would need the extra space that should decide whether you buy this incredibly powerful and bulky grill or not.

    Pros

    • Incredible amounts of space: 1,200 square inch cooking and drawers included
    • Great 73,000 total BTUs
    • Heat stabilizing system
    • Insulated lid and thermometer for easy adjustment

    Blaze Brand Overview

Having its humble beginnings over 2 decades ago, Blaze Grills are now some of the most popular grills on the market for BBQ and cooking enthusiasts.

The reason has a lot to do with the value you get for the price.  While they're priced at the lower end of the spectrum, you'll still get some incredible features and a long lasting grill.

Blaze Premium LTE 32-Inch 4-Burner Built-In Gas Grill With Rear Infrared Burner

Blaze Premium LTE 32-Inch 4-Burner Built-In Gas Grill With Rear Infrared Burner

With an incredible cooking power of 66,000 BTUs total thanks to the 4 commercial quality cast stainless steel burners but also the infrared rear rotisserie burner which provides 10,000 BTU’s, allowing for an incredible amount of heat that will cook food fast while keeping you and any guests warm while standing a decent distance from the grill.

What really makes the Blaze LTE series stand out is just how cheap the price point is for the amount of quality you get, not just with the BTUs, but also with the added features.

Each grill includes heat resistant interior lights so that you can easily see what you’re cooking, illuminated knobs and even 740 square inches of cooking space allowing for a lot of food to be sizzled up in one.

To make sure the food is cooked thoroughly without you needing to worry about spots being cold, this grill even comes with a heat zone separator which divides the cooking surface into individual temperature zones, heating everything up equally.

This really is a great barbeque for when you want to get cooking in the outdoors right away with all the features you could need to cook food thoroughly and quickly, especially for it’s cheaper price point.

    Pros

    • Impressive 66,000 BTU’s
    • 4 stainless steel burners
    • Extra features: Interior lights, illuminated knobs etc.
    • 740 square inch cooking space
    • Cheaper price

    Cons

    • Not porcelain coated makes for harder clean up
    • Drip tray can be harder to pull out

Blaze Professional LUX 44-Inch 4-Burner Built-In Gas Grill With Rear Infrared Burner

Blaze Professional LUX 44-Inch 4-Burner Built-In Gas Grill With Rear Infrared Burner

While it’s a bit more pricey, the Blaze Profesional Lux really is an all in one package for a grill that you know will be your last for just how durable it is with it’s heavy 12mm stainless steel hexagon cooking rods and double lines grill hood which maintains heat incredibly well while protecting the outer layer from any heat discoloration.

It’s not just the durability that makes this grill so great however, with 4 304 stainless steel H top of the line burners, each one uses a staggering 18,000 BTUs to make for a total of 72,000 so you can guarantee you won’t have to be waiting long and adjusting the heat too often until your food is ready.

It is also much bigger with 1050 square inches of cooking space and a fully featured rotisserie kit equipped with a waterproof motor allowing you to provide even, gentle cooking and self-basting for specific foods.

For it’s slightly higher price point, essentially everything that made the Professional LTE so good is upgraded here including the power and space, and while it can still take more time than necessary to clean the anti-drip tray and despite the heat zone separators being hard to monitor individually, this grill is still excellent as an incredibly reliable addition to an outdoor kitchen.

    Pros

    • Very spacious 1050 square inches
    • Powerful 72,000 BTUs
    • 4 304 stainless steel burners
    • Fully featured rotisserie kit
    • Push-and-turn start up technology

    Cons

    • Can take longer to clean than other models
    • Difficult to measure exact temperature with heat zone separator feature

Which Should I Buy, Lynx Or Blaze?

The first difference to keep in mind is the burners. While cast stainless burners that are used on Blaze grills will work just fine, the cast ceramic burners used by the Lynx grills produce the most consistent and safe heating that you just can’t find in any other grills.

Not to mention the included Trident Burners are a favorite by the world's leading chefs due to their incredibly easy and instant temperature control of 200-1,000ºF.

What this means is that if you don’t mind spending a bit more and care about even heat distribution, heating power and radiation, then the Lynx is definitely superior in this area.

In terms of size options, both are largely similar, however it needs to be said that with the Blaze grills you do get many premium features, including the interior lights and rotisserie kit, for much cheaper than the Lynx.

So all in all you need to measure up if you want a grill with the best burners and heating settings on the market, or one with a range of unique features that make cooking a lot easier than it needs to be.

Finally, Blaze grills on average are also quite a bit lighter so if you are thinking about the portability side of things, this also makes them a great option.

      Final Thoughts

Blaze and Lynx grills are incredibly reputable and well received appliances that are guaranteed to sizzle up some food outdoors thoroughly and quickly as they both use state of the art materials and craftsmanship which makes them so popular among BBQ enthusiasts.

These are some of the main differences you should keep in mind however when deciding which grill to buy, if you want maximum power with no chance of the intense heat damaging the grill or anyone accidentally.
