Shipping & delivery — what to expect
A Mont Alpi island is a large, heavy item that ships by LTL freight — not a parcel carrier. Here's exactly how delivery works so there are no surprises.
- Ships via LTL freight, curbside. Your island arrives on a freight truck and is dropped at the curb — the driver isn't expected to bring it inside, to the garage, or to the backyard. Plan to have help on hand to move it.
- Be present to accept delivery. The freight carrier calls to schedule a delivery appointment or notifies you before arrival. You must be there to receive and sign for the shipment.
- Realistic timeline. In-stock orders process in 1–3 business days, then most shipments take 3–5 business days in transit after leaving the warehouse. Transit times are estimates, not guarantees.
- Don't schedule installers early. We strongly advise against booking contractors until your order is fully delivered and every item is inspected.
Inspect your delivery — report any damage within 5 business days
Freight transit is the single biggest risk for a shipment this size. It is your responsibility to inspect the shipment on arrival. If anything is damaged or defective, email team@elitepatiodirect.com with photos within 5 business days of delivery. This window protects you — after it closes we can no longer file a claim with the freight carrier or manufacturer, and can only sell replacement parts.

Frequently asked questions
Do you have to assemble Mont Alpi BBQ islands?
Mont Alpi outdoor kitchens are modular and designed for minimal assembly — most of the heavy lifting is done before your island arrives. Each module arrives fully assembled. You unpack the crates, connect the modules to one another, connect your fuel, and plug the island into a standard 120V outlet. That's it.
These are still heavy, bulky items — the manufacturer strongly recommends a minimum of two people to unpack and set up the modules.
What are the electrical requirements?
The main grill module plugs into one (1) standard 120V outlet for the grill lights. An additional 120V outlet is required for each refrigerator or kegerator module in your island. A dedicated circuit for refrigeration units gives the best performance.
Are Mont Alpi grills propane or natural gas?
All Mont Alpi grills & islands ship as propane — but a natural-gas conversion kit is included with every purchase. We highly recommend a licensed professional install the conversion kit.
What's the difference between the 805 and 805 Deluxe islands?
The biggest difference is that the Deluxe version has cascading granite composite down the sides of the end modules. Deluxe islands also come with a heavy-duty rotisserie kit and an island cover. Original-series islands don't include the rotisserie kit or cover (both available at extra cost) and have stainless steel finishes on the sides instead of cascading granite composite.
Can I rearrange the modules differently than pictured?
Yes and no. Mont Alpi islands are modular by design, so you can mix and match to a large extent — but there are some limitations driven by the granite composite finishes and gas-line placement.
Can the side-burner module go on the right of the main grill?
The side-burner cabinet is designed as the left end piece. On a Deluxe island the cascading granite composite would then run down the left side of the side-burner cabinet, which looks a little off. On the Original and Black stainless 805 islands (no cascading granite composite) it's fine to place the side burner on the right. You may need a longer gas hose for that setup.
Can I put a beverage center module on the end of my island?
Yes. Two things to know: the right end of the beverage-center module doesn't have the cascading granite composite of the regular right end cabinet (barely noticeable on Original & Black islands, more visible on Deluxe). And because of how the islands are packaged, we can't remove the right end cabinet from your shipment — if you don't use it you'll need to keep or dispose of it yourself.
